Joana spent the first 17 years of her career within the Shell Trading network. She started her career in marine lubricants in Hamburg, then quickly moved to commodity trading, spending 12 years as a front-line oil trader between Rotterdam and London. She brings a wealth of knowledge of risk management, business development, as well as strategic development and implementation.

Lars has been in the shipping space for nearly 25 years. He started his career as a deck officer on cargo vessels, then moving to one of the largest U.S. based shipbrokers for 4 years. He then spent 11 years as a freight trader at Shell Trading in Houston, Barbados and London, eventually leading the Global Crude Freight Trading book. Lars most recent role before joining Namor Shipping was as the Global Head of Shipping for Litasco, where he spent 5 years building out their freight model across the entire product line.

Kyle has been in the tanker chartering business for 19 years. The first 6 years of his career were spent in New York and Geneva with two major ship brokerage firms, focusing in the clean petroleum trade. Since then, Kyle spent 13 years at Litasco, focusing on freight trading in both clean products, fuel oil and crude oil. At his peak, Kyle was shipping nearly 1 million tons of refined oil products a month, earning him the nickname, ‘The King of the Black Sea.’

Kira has over 15 years of tanker operation experience from both the ship owner and brokerage side of the business, giving her a clear understanding and focus on the bottom line for a tanker owner and the customer relation / communication skillset that ensures optimal day to day interactions. Kira’s extensive experience in product and chemical tankers gives her a superb advantage to maximize the operational economies involved in switching from one product to another.
